In this edition of IT'S TIME WE FACE IT, the spotlight is on Sunay Paramane. He tells us the reality of global warming and where we stand with climate change. Sunay also goes into ways we can reduce out negative footprint. Sit back and take note of what Sunay Paramane has to say about Global Warming and our "Need to Go Green".
As we move out of the industrial revolution and into the information age we realize all of the useful things we have created to further supply ourselves. We have created factories, cars, trains, and the harvesting of energy. All of these things are great for the short term usefulness and energy they provide, but they all have negative long term effects.
These negative effects are the cause of Global Warming which is the warming of the earth due to the inability for the heat energy from the sun to leave Earth. The main compound that creates this issue is carbon dioxide. All of the things listed require fuel to operate and the main byproduct of most fuel is carbon dioxide. This carbon dioxide creates gas in the atmosphere that simulates the greenhouse effect which is where sunlight is let in but the heat of it is trapped.
With this ever rising problem we need to find a solution quick. The easiest would be to stop using all of these things as a whole, but then where would we get power and transport. The solution for now is to switch to a more reusable alternative, which is green energy. Green energy is energy that comes from natural or recyclable methods. A few examples would be dams, windmills, wave rotors, and friction energy. These create green energy and we can use this energy to power all the things we had before like trains, cars, boats, and homes.
With the solution there the only problem left is to switch to it, but that's where the problem gets worse. Our infrastructure and society has been used to using energy that comes from fossil fuels, lots of jobs and businesses rely on the drilling of this material to make money and provide fuel. This is where the conflict rises, whether to save the environment for the future generation or to save the careers of many people in the fossil fuels area. With this in mind there are steps people can take to take matters into their own hands, and go green!
